Making
your own creative wrapping paper adds a very personal touch to
your baby gifts. Here's an idea that will catch everyone's
attention.
Purchase
a roll of plain white shipping paper. You will find
this in stores that supply packing tape, shipping envelopes, and
general shipping supplies. Of course, you could also use
white craft paper or a pastel paper (non-glossy surface) of your choice.
Using
alphabet stamps and a few different colored ink pads (all
available in craft stores), randomly stamp the paper with letters that
spell out the baby's name. Rotate the stamps so that the
letters are not all horizontal and vertical. Space them in a
way that is pleasing to you.
Next,
take the same stamps and stamp the baby's name on the gift card
envelope, only this time stamp the name horizontally with the letters
in order (just as you would have written it yourself).
You
may like to use traditional colors such as blue for a boy or pink
for a girl. There are no rules! Primary colors also
work well. If you know the theme of the baby shower, you can
coordinate it with that, or you may like to match the colors to your
baby gift.
There's
something very special about seeing your baby's name on a
personalized item. Adding it to the gift wrap just takes it
to the next level. This thoughtful and creative gift
presentation will truly warm the heart of the mother-to-be.
